Yuewen joined the group in March, 2017.  He is currently a PhD candidate and is co-supervised by Prof. Chungang Duan at East China Normal University. Prior to joining the group, he was a research assistant at Japan Fine Ceramics Center collaborating with Dr. Craig Fisher and Dr. Hiroki Moriwake.

 

Yuewen's research interests include using first-principles calculations and materials simulation to discover, design and develop functional materials such as multiferroics, ferroelectrics, complex oxide interfaces, photovoltaic materials, and superconductors.

Yin joined the group in September, 2020. Prior to joining the group, he obtained his BS degree in mathematics from NYU Shanghai in 2020. Yin is now pursuing a PhD degree in Applied Maths and Applied Physics at Columbia University.


Yin’s research interests are in numerical analysis, optimal control methods applied to differential equations, and mathematical modeling.

Zhiwei's research interests lie in first-principles calculations with an emphasis on transition metal oxides and two-dimensional semiconductor materials..

Chengliang joined the group in October 2017.  He is currently an MSc candidate and is co-supervised by Prof. Yue Chen at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining the group, he obtained his BS degree from Hainan University in 2017.

 

Chengliang's research interests lie in simulating materials properties, such as calculating crystal structures and comparing stabilities of different materials in (like ferroelectric materials) in different situations. Meanwhile, he is also interested in engineering drawing and modeling ."

Yuhao's research interests include using first-principles calculations and mean field calculations to study emergent phenomena in solids and capturing simple physics in them. For now, his biggest interest is in theoretical exploration about new high-Tc superconductors.
